    i have not made this recipe yet, but wondered if anyone had some suggestions for the marshmallow component. I would like to use the store-bought marshmallow cream and color it red, then drizzle the cake with a fudge sauce... can anyone tell me if this will work?

    I made these for valentines day, the cake turned out to be very thick, so i just cut the hearts in half and filled with frosting..they turned out cute and everyone loved them!

    This cake is just right for valentines day. I made this the day before and put it in the freezer until I need it. ( With the marshmello on it also It's a cake that is not that sweet, it's light, easy to make, and yet very delicious!! I will be making it again this holiday. Thanks and great baking!!

    My daughter and I made these for all of our friends for Valentines day and they turned out great. The only thing was my cookie sheet wasn't as big as hers so my cake cooked up much thicker, But we still used the heart cookie cutter and I just sliced them in half and we put the marshmellow cream inside. We even made a white cake too for our friends who can't eat chocolate. It all was much easier then I thought. Great recipe.
