This recipe is great. I've made the truffles several times and there is never any left. After I chilled the truffles, I dipped them in melted white chocolate which made them even better.

These chocolate truffles are so easy to make and even better to eat! Everyone I gave them to could not stop eating them!

Like many of you, I noticed the mixture was just too fluid to make into balls. Having the mixture sit at room temperature was definitely wrong. What I did was placed the mixture in a stainless steel bowl and spread the mixture around the sides of the bowl and placed it in the frig for about two hours. After that the consistency was perfect. I used a melon baller and kept it in a cup of water that was microwaved hot. Using a large mesh strainer, I would scoop the mixture into the small balls, roll in the coco and place them in the strainer to shake off excess. The richness of this recipe means the size of your truffles need to be small.

I made this recipe without the Grand Marnier and the consistency after setting in the fridge for a couple of hours was easy to deal with. Cleaning my hands off after every 2-3 balls seemed to help also.

Used it during the holidays and the granddaughters had a ball help. An easy recipe to introduce kids to working in the kitchen.

These are delicious. That said, I had to put them in the fridge for about 90 mins to get them to the right consistency to form the truffles. The key (I found to shaping them was to use a melon baller (as on the show and to dip it into hot water before scooping them. It was messy to make, to be sure, but well worth the effort. I will make them again as a special treat. Thanks for a great recipe!!

This is an easy dessert and will give anyone his/her chocolate fix. Make the balls small because these are very rich.

I collect truffle recipes & this is a very good one! Excellent taste. Making truffles is a little more difficult than some think!

they tasted delicious but I found the truffles very difficult to make, they melted in my hand when I attempted to make them in a ball shape, even after freezing for a little while, this recipe didn't work out for me, but it still tasted good.

Yum. Yum. YUM! Just don't substitute chocolate chips for the finely chopped chocolate. The pieces won't melt entirely and you'll get big clumps of chocolate. That doesn't feel good when you're expecting a smooth truffle.
