I thought this was a good recipe and with my tweaks I Thought it was very good. I used leftover jasmine rice, I did not use any meat but instead used a couple different mushrooms and some squash I needed to use up. Also, I flavored it with a little five spice bc I did not have any fresh ginger, a large clove of fresh garlic and lite soy sauce.

I made this fried rice with bacon instead of ham. I also added Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce. A little goes a long way. I make this rice dish a lot.

Very good but I had to add a little sesame oil & some soy sauce to finish. I cut the recipe down tho because of the amount of leftover rice I had & I didn't add the meat either so perhaps that affected the end taste. But ultimately it was very good for my first try at fried rice. Thanks Food Network!

I figured this recipe would be bland so I changed it up. I added small shrimp, chicken base and added a hint of soy. I salted the rice with lite salt. I fried the rice separately first then put it all together. It turned out excellent. I thought I made too much but I guess I did not, my children loved it. I will make this one again. I would say this was a 4.5. The only thing I would do different is add green onions instead.

No ham used on my try at this. I wanted to rid of some veggies I had to I switch it up a bit. I used onion, garlic, peas, mushrooms, red pepper, and two cups of fresh spinach. Chopped up everything but the peas. Sauted in 2 Tblsp of EVO -- onion, then added red pepper. After they softened, I added the mushrooms, garlic, and minced up pickled ginger beause it was the only ginger I had. Salt and peppered and set aside. Lightly beat the eggs as instructed, poored in a hot pan with about one Tblsp of EVO and gradually added cooked rice. Stirred in the vegetables once the egg was well blended and cooked through. Sprinkled only two TBlsp of Soy Sauce and it was perfect. Really good and Really easy. Took 25 minutes. Rice was cooking while I was doing the veggies. Thanks for a good go-to quick veggie dinner.

This was a great recipe. Easy to follow. Very Very tasty ! The ginger made the dish . I had rave reviews from my family . The nice thing is it will be great to use with any left over meat. I used chicken but you can use whatever meat is left in the frig.

This was much better than the soy sauce laden recipes I had used previously.Better taste and less salt as well. I used proscuitto instead of ham and fresh carrots. My daughter had 2 plates full and even my husband who is a bit of a food critic loved it.

I found this to be void of any "real" fried rice flavor. I consider myself a versatile and innovative home cook, but this lacked the smokey flavor that is present in fried rice from a chinese food restaurant. I read the other reviews and used sesame oil, leftover brown rice, frozen petite peas, corn, onions, ginger, salt, pepper, and eggs. I didn't have scallions but don't believe that one ingredient could make that much difference. Instead of soy sauce I used teriyaki due to sodium content and preference. I will continue to look for a better recipe.

I loved this recipe! It was the best fried rice I have eaten. I did add soy sauce at the end as others suggested to do and it tasted amazing! I will definitely use this recipe from now on.
