This was delicious!!!!!! I followed the recipe except I did add soy sauce and chicken broth. My family loved it and I will make it again.

I tried this recipe with left over rice and kielbasa. I also didn't have fresh ginger in my house; however I did have ginger in powdered form. The dinner was a success, my kids loved it.

Good, but great if at the end you add some soy sauce for a bit more flavor and salt; squeezed lime for freshness and flavor; and some chili-garlic sauce at the end for a little heat and, yes, even more flavor. Also, save yourself some time and dishes by cooking the eggs in the pan while the vegetables are pushed to the side and mixing the rice in once the eggs are set.

YUM! This was the BEST fried rice I've ever made! I did make a few substitutions, but pretty much followed the recipe. I used bacon instead of the ham and I saved the bacon drippings and used that in place of the oil. I used brown rice because that's what I had on hand, and it worked really well. I also served it with soy sauce. Other than that I stuck to the recipe and it turned out really well. I think I might make it again tonight!! :

Outstanding! Easy to prepare and sssssssooooo tasty! Everyone goes back for seconds (or more. I double the batch and it is not enough. The ginger is a really nice touch. Thank you for this wonderful recipe. The only issue is: It takes time to prepare. This is NOT a 15 min. fast food meal. I pre-cook the rice days before and leave it in the fridge (I use less water than normal when making the rice. The day I make the fried rice, I set aside 2 hours to make it. It is worth every moment I spend making it.

This was great! My 13 year old son had been asking me to cook fried rice for a while now. He and I did this one together and it was the best fried rice we've ever tasted. We used chicken and shrimp instead of ham. The ginger took it over the top. I'm sending the recipe to my 23 year old to cook for himself. We are looking forward to this dish again.
