I was looking tonight for the best Reuben Sandwich on the planet. Well I found it. The combination between the Russian dressing, corned beef, Swiss cheese, Sauerkraut, while holding it together with 2 pieces of rye bread was the bomb.. I am not a Russian dressing kinda of person, but after eating this sandwich, it really has gotten my attention. Thanks Food Network for this recipe.

Normally not a huge Reuben fan but wife is. Excellent sandwich became a Reuben lover after this, will make again. Dressing was very good after the first hour of melding in the refrigerator but day 2 the flavor became magical. I was using it on corn chips and whatever else I could put it on, amazing.

I used to work at Zingerman's, making these sandwiches, back in '02. This recipe is a scaled down version of what they use in the deli, and it is PERFECT! If you want to really do it right, use Sy Ginsburg's corned beef. Hand slice the rye so the slices are between a regular sandwich bread slice and a Texas Toast slice. Use a TON of dressing on BOTH slices of bread. Serve with an extra side of the dressing for dipping. I think it's a little light on the parsley, honestly, so I add more. If you wanna little extra something, add 1/4 tsp. Sriracha (Rooster sauce! This is also amazing on pumpernickel bread, or substituting cole slaw for the sauerkraut. Check out Zingerman's website for other versions on the deli menu for inspiration. (I use a copy as a recipe book!

This is, by far, the best reuben recipe. The dressing really makes it five-star. Don't skimp out by buying store bought Russian dressing. You definitely won't be sorry you took the five minutes to whip up a batch of homemade!

My original plan was to just buy some thousand island dressing for this sandwich but after reading others reviews about how good the dressing was, I decided to go for it. I am SO glad I did. This dressing is amazing. It is well worth the little effort it takes to make it. This is the best dressing I have ever had for a corned beef sandwich. I could eat it from the bowl, it's that good! What a yummy sandwich!
