This was AWESOME!! My husband and I absolutely loved it! I served it over a piece of Ezekiel bread. Mmmm! I don't have a dutch oven, so I did the first part in a regular pan on the stove, then I transfered everything to a baking dish and put it on the oven. It turned out perfect! I didn't baste the chicken while it was in the oven, and it was fine. I did forget to put in the lemon zest, but It still had enough lemon taste from the lemon juice. I also chopped the two sprigs of rosemary very fine and added them into the dish instead of just putting in the sprigs and removing them at the end. Oh and I used gluten free all purpose flour instead of regular flour and you couldn't tell the difference. I will be making this again and again!! Amazing!

My husband and I loved this. I made it for him as I was going out of town. I hope the leftovers are as delicious as they were right out of the oven. I finished the sauce with creme fraiche and used boneless skinless chicken thighs. In the future, I could see adding a couple slices of bacon.

I just got my first dutch oven this morning, and this was the recipe I chose to test it out! I love veggies, so I added some baby 'bella mushrooms and diced yukon gold potatoes (a la other reviews suggestion to serve over mashed and it turned out great! Pretty rich and a little heavy for my taste, but I'm not complaining! Just a shame I can't make this one more often!

We loved this recipe- I have been cooking in my dutch oven a lot recently and always looking for chicken dishes to do in it! I did tweak it though- I used boneless skinless chicken breast (only because i dont like thighs, and i didnt have any chicken with skin 1/2 a yellow onion instead of pears, used dry rosemary leaves and just left them in, and i cook mushrooms outside of the stew and added them into it at the end for an extra veggie and to give it more of a meatiness feel. Even without the skin of the chicken, it was still so tender and moist- not in the least dry! I served it over a toasted piece of sourdough bread... will be making this one again!

Great way to stretch chicken especially in winter. Thought it was delightfullly lovely all the way round. I didn't cook it in the oven, just the stove but it turned out fine. The flavor of the thickened sauce was bright against the celery and onions. Nice combination of lemon and rosemary!

I loved this recipes. I served it over Yukon gold mashed potatoes. Next time I think I'll use lemon grass instead of the fresh lemon.

After reading all the reviews I thought that this would be excellent. The two other people that had it with me thought it was, but I would only give it an average. I think it is because I had too much of the gravy/sauce on my plate. The sauce tasted like liquid chicken. I was surprised because it looked awesome when I was making it; it wasn't runny; it had a great thickness; it looked like it was going to taste great.

If I were going to make this again (But I probably won't I would definitely add more carrots/celery/onions. To make the sauce taste better I?d add more lemon, and I?d also add some garlic. When I made this I substituted yellow onion for pear onions, and I thought that worked out well.

Everyone in my family loved this....that never happens. I did tweak it....left out the lemon zest, and instead of thickening with butter/flour, removed the chicken and added a few cut up potatoes. Put the chicken back in the pot, kept it in the oven on low heat, since my busy family sometimes eats at different times because of their activities. Next time I will add some veggies, so it will truly be a 1 pot meal!

I wasn't sure about this recipe. It looks a little more complex on paper (computer then it really is. The one dish cooking, or then the noodles, was great. Most of the dish was pretty straight forward and when my guest's tried it... Well they were very impressed. This is a dish that is alive with flavor, the lemon and rosemary play well with each other and the sauce and chicken are classic comfort food your gusts will truly appreciate. Bon Appetite.
