Delicious! Crumple up a big sheet of aluminum foil, open it back up and put it on a baking sheet; this will keep the clams in place if you don't want to use salt.

Excellent and very easy. I tried the old 'put them in the freezer' trick and it didnt work for me. The next several times I made them and yes, I made them many times since, I just had the guy at the fish market open and loosen them for me. Do something good for yourself today and try them. You deserve it.

These were so good! I have never had anything like this before and I loved the flavor. Another keeper for the recipe box. I noticed that people had trouble getting them open. I went to my local grocery store and asked the guy behind the counter to please put them on the half shell. He gladly took care of opening them for me. Huge time saver and much easier!

These are very good. Here's a tip if you are having trouble splitting the clams. If you put them in the freezer for a little while they will open slightly and make it easier to split.

As long as you don't have to open them yourselves these are delicious. And very easy to prepare. I did end up having to open them my self, but got the hang of it pretty quickly. They were an absolute hit at my house.
