Great flavor, but toooo salty. I cut it in half and it was still too salty for the salt lover that I am. Next time, I think I will decrease the salt even more, and only coat ONE side. The flavor is great......we look forward to trying it again with less salt.

Wow!!! Way too salty! Could cut the salt at least in half. It did have a great flavor and I now know how to blacken salmon. Would make again with less salt.

Decrease the salt!!! I think this recipe has potential to be a great weekday dinner option. My only complaint is that the blackened rub mix is WAY too salty. I think there may be a typo with the amount of salt. It calls for 5 Tablespoons but I think they mean 5tsp. I will try it again with the decreased salt content.

My roommate and I were very excited to try this dish, however upon first bite we felt like we were swallowing gallons of salt water. We put in the directed amount, and it is VERY salty, too salty for my taste! The rest is good (we think, we can't tell because of the salt but just don't use nearly as much salt as directed, mayyybe like 1 tablespoon or less. Use more pepper too!

I am not a seafood lover - in fact, this recipe is the only one I have liked so far. It was excellent and super easy to make! To make it easier, I used a store-bought blackened seasoning mix. Everyone at the dinner enjoyed the salmon, including another non-seafood-lover!

I used 1/2 the amount of kosher salt asked for, and the dish was so salty, that I had to throw away the salmon.
The rest of the items cameout very good, if it wasn't for the saty experience, I think it would have been an okay dish!

This tasted great, but I used regular black beans. I also used much less salt.

I just needed the blackening spice for a mahi-mahi fish taco recipe (which was to die for by the way! and it was SOOOO good.
