This is one of the best salads I have ever prepared or eaten. It was easy to prepare and I was pleased that it did not need any dressing. Even my "non carb counting" husband loved it and asked me to make it again. It will be an even better cold weather salad; warm, filling and good for you.

I always have left over steak after dinner, and you hate to throw it away, but can never reheat it and eatit, so I saw this, and tried it. I made his chilli burgers and they were great, so I gave it a shot, besides the fact he made me hungry while watching the show....it is out of this world. My husband who is not a salad person, loves it and never throws left over steak away anymore, b/c he knows what it will turn into. Thanks, great flavors!!

This recipe was so easy, and tasted great. I added red onions also, which gave it a nice flavor.

Love this idea! I can change the flavors by varying the greens, cheeses, meats or peppers. And my husband (the diabetic raved about it. I second the idea: Can we get a George Stella section, or his "family cookbook"?

I cheated and did not use shredded steak, I used ground beef, with a little leftover sausage. For salad dressing I made a yellow mustard vinaigrette, and used purchased litehouse one carb southwestern ranch, it was great for dinner, and lunch the next day. My co-workers all wanted some.
