We really enjoyed this recipe, but it was a bit too lemony for our taste. I didn't even end up using the lemon zest; plenty of lemon flavor without it. I added a bit more parmesan to counteract the lemon flavor, probably 1 cup total. But we really liked it. I used fettuccine, as that's what I had in the house. I'll probably make it again, decreasing the lemon juice by about 1/4 cup or so.

Been eating some version of this since a child. My family was famous for putting butter and EVOO and parm cheese together, the lemon was the kicker on this recipe. Great for a side dish to go with fish or seafood, scampi, etc...so easy too. If you like this one, see Giada's newer baked version, Baked Lemon Ziti. She said the ziti dish was inspired by this spaghetti recipe.

Great pasta recipe. When I first heard lemon pasta it didn't sound appealing. I tried it and needless to say, it was great. I've made it many times since. Delicious, simple recipe!

This is one of my favorite recipes - it's easy to make, great in the summer and perfect as a side dish or entre. I've made this for friends many times and it's always a hit! I find I don't need very much of the cooking liquid, but that might depend on taste. Try it, you'll like it!

Is this not the most refreshing pasta dish ever. What a nice light zingy taste. Make it in the summer, perfect for a side to grilled lamb chops or main course. A family favorite.

I made this for Christmas Eve dinner 2012 to compliment the several fish dishes I made to bring back family tradition. I read some previous reviews and I am surprised of some which noted the lack of flavor or over the top flavor. I made this according to the instructions and it was perfect. The lemon and basil were excellent!

I made this for a dinner party side dish with roasted chicken. My guests were delighted and thought it was unique and delicious. My husband requested that i add to regular rotation of menu items. I stuck to the ingredients in the recipe but had really large lemons so only juiced two and i added chopped roma tomatoes at the end for extra flavor and color.

Great simple recipe. No heavy sauce coating everything. This was light and bright. We used Whole Wheat Thin Spaghetti, which I probably won't use next time. The texture and stronger flavor took over more than I would have liked, but it was still great. Looking forward to trying this with Angel Hair.

I love this recipe. I substitute linguine for the spaghetti when I make it but it's always a hit and just as delicious cold the next day.
