this was so simple but so delicious, better than any tomato sauce I've ever made

I've been making homemade sauce for a long time and this one really is the winner. Great taste and texture using the carrot and celery! A popular meal for our house!

Delicious and light. We added more garlic and some fresh oregano. Will use this recipe henceforth!

I didn't add any celery or carrots but the sauce was very good, just like store bought. It doesn't need as much olive oil as the recipe says because you will probably add some butter for the acidity.

This is, by far, the best sauce I have ever tried! The flavor is fabulous, not too tomatoey as some. I will not try another sauce again.

This is the only sauce we make now. Different brands of tomato will affect the flavor (richer vs. lighter, and I like to add extra basil and some oregano. As with any recipe, you need to adjust to suit your own taste. But I cannot rave enough on how great this sauce is. It's very easy and goes great with her turkey meatballs!
