I like 1000 Island, my husband loves it, but I love homemade a 1000 times more :
I hadn't tried it w/dill before, love fresh dill. Try it w/ fish or like a tartar sauce.
Sometimes I add black or green olives instead of pickles and almost always chopped or crumbled boiled egg.

I've had 2 heads of lettuce going to waste and I needed some sort of dressing to put on lettuce wedges. I had all of these items on hand. OMG! Yummo! This is a keeper and something always in the pantry!

I'm not a huge fan of iceberg lettuce, but had some on hand, so I made this quick little salad. I must say I will never buy bottled 1000 Island or Russian dressing again either. This was so easy, and I had everything on hand already. The dill is a nice addition. I can't wait to try the dressing on reubens and burgers!

Salad was awesome. The only feedback I got from the family was that it had a bit too much dill. I'll totally make this again. The dressing was good on the reuben mac n cheese and would be awesome on burgers too!!
