lesson #1 in cooking: read instructions thoroughly before starting a recipe! the ingredients clearly state CANNED not CANS. even one can of chipotles would make this inedible, let alone THREE! common sense people!
have not yet made this, but gave it 5 stars because i expect nothing less from TF!

I have made this recipe several times...It takes a bit of work..but it is worth the effort. If you like spicey...you will love it! I made this for a chili contest at my church and won! It is a favorite at our home and will be on the menu regularly.

I have a made this chili twice and we have all loved it. Even made chili dogs with some of the left overs. The only change I made was only 1 can of the chipotle chili's. Love Tyler and all his recipes!!!

I'm glad to see chefs starting to use chocolate in their chili recipes. I also add dried cherries to give it a bit of sweetness, here's a link to my chocolate cherry chili recipe, http://yourfoodchoices.wordpress.com/. Cheers!

I really liked the smokiness flavors that this recipe brings to the table however I misread the ingredient 3 canned chipotle peppers in adobo, chopped. I took this to mean 3 cans of chipotle peppers, so it was too spicy hot and we had to dilute the stock in order to lessen the heat. So beware please use 3 chipotle peppers and you will be rewarded with a smoky chili.
