I prepared as directed with the exception of adding 4 cloves of garlic rather than 2 (we really like garlic. I'm not sure what happened with this though because we honestly could not taste the flavors on the asparagus, nor did it enhance the natural flavors of the asparagus in any way. We have grilled asparagus all the time in different ways and usually love it - this one was still edible of course, just not worth making again or recommending to others.

This recipe turned out delicious. I let my asparagus marinate in the mixture in a pan for about 20 minutes before. Though I didn't have the patience for the skewers and just put them cross ways in one of those grill racks then just flipped the whole thing over to cook the other side. It worked perfectly and tasted great!

First of all, who doesn't love garlic?!?! And the lemon zest added a nice flavor to it. We normally grill our asparagus, but just plain. This was a nice change. Will make again!

Everyone enjoyed this yummy vegi, even the "I hate asparagus group" I used a grill basket and shared the sauce for a portabello mushroom that I grilled on the side.

We do a lot of grilling down here in Texas... My husband works the grill while I make the marinades... This one goes perfectly with pretty much any veggie... We've used it with squash and zucchini, eggplant, asparagus, and even shrimp. Doubling, tripling, and quadrupling the exact recipe works perfectly for larger amounts... It's awesome!
