I did not add parsley and instead of green onions I used chives since they came back up this spring. It was a hit. I already emailed a friend the recipe. I did double it since I had 2 parties and 2 days and it was just enough. And very easy to make. I did make my own veggie platter and changed what she had used. I also put a pinch of salt in. I salt to taste and never follow what a recipe calls for in case it is to salty for my taste

Oh my! I'm a dill lover, but I had no idea how good this dip would be. I made a few minor adjustments because I wasn't in my own kitchen, plus I wanted the dip to be low-fat. I substituted the following: reduced fat cream cheese; 16 ounces of light sour cream; a small, red onion, finely chopped; about a 1/4 cup of each herb; and I used her recommended amount of pepper.
Now, I admit that after I mixed the dip and tasted it to adjust the seasonings, I was a bit worried because it tasted like salty-nothingness, but after letting the flavors develop overnight, it was amazing. I'll continue to make this dip for a quick snack here and there.
Don't be fooled by its simplicity--it has amazing flavor.

This is by far the best veggie dip I have ever tasted. I have taken it to many parties, and it is always a hit. Even people who claim to hate vegetables will pick up a carrot and eat it with this dip. I always add a bit more dill than the recipe calls for. It's one of my favorite fresh herbs.

This dip was incredibly simple and surprisingly delicious. It's one of those recipes that is so easy that you would think it would just be "ok". Wrong. Although it's the usual sour cream, mayo, cream cheese dip combination, the dill and parsley add a wonderful green touch and flavor to the mix. I added one fresh clove of garlic to add extra zip to it. What would we do without Ina? Thanks for another great addition to my arsenal of party recipes.

The dip is killer! Love, love, loved it. In fact, potato skins were being served at our party as well and the dip began to get loaded into those as well. Their wasn't a vegetable left on the plate.

I made this for a family get together and it was a big hit. So much better than the store bought dip. I didn't have any scallions so I grated an onion inot it and it had so much flavor. I am making this again for Christmas.

This dip will turn a non-veggie eater into a veggie eater. It is super easy to make (although finding the fresh herbs are difficult at times. At every family gathering now, I'm requested to bring this dip with veggies and I have found that crackers and cut pita bread goes well, too. I have found my 3 year old licking the almost empty bowl! If you don't have the Barefoot Contessa At Home cookbook, you MUST BUY IT!
