it's wintertime so I wasn't able to get fresh corn, I used frozen corn, and if you use frozen corn, its about 3/4 cup frozen to one ear of regular sized corn.

I chopped up about 2 tablespoons of onions, about a teaspoon of cilantro, and about 1/3 of a jalepno and I blended it all together.

I added sour cream, some mozarella cheese and a little bit of salt and pepper as a topping after cooking them and they were GOOODDD... I think I am going to be commissioned to make them A LOT, as my family decided they were very very tasty...

The picture looks good, but as venezuelan we know that cachapas are served with "queso de mano" or with butter and "queso rayado". Never with a bunch of things like in this picture. Would be nice to talk more of the original vertion and then say that if someone wants to get creative do something different. If you want to put a buch of things you can eat instead arepa. Thanks!

This looks more like a Mexican taco which is NOT Venezuelan. I usually love Tyler's cooking but I'm Venezuelan and almost have a heart attack watching this episode. The cachapas have to be filled in with cheese (and not just any cheese then fold in half and wallah! Don't put any meat or lettuce or cilantro or ANYTHING but cheese. That's the true Venezuelan Cachapa. Sorry Tyler! I do love your recipes but not this one.
