THIS RECIPE IS AMASING. WE ADDED ONE OR UP TO TWO JALAPENOS SEEDS
REMOVED AND THEN FINELY CHOP THE JALAPENOS ADD TO THE BEAN MIXTURE. I ALSO TRIED 1/2 MOLLASSES 1/2 BROWN SUGAR. I LOVE THE FLAVOR OF THE SWEET, HOT, AND THE TART

Made these for a July 4th cookout, they got rave revews from everyone. Making them again tonight for the same crowd, by request. Didn't have the pie filling but sliced up about a cup of beautiful SC peaches that I had in the freezer. No one knew they were eating peaches. Also used roasted red peppers from a jar. These are really good beans.

This is a great recipe for something different than the typical beans. It is one of my favorites now. Of course the recipe needs to be scaled down a lot unless you are serving a crowd.

Best beans we've ever had. Easy, easy, easy. Halved the recipe and had plenty for a dinner party of six. The rub rocks too.

The peaches add just enough of a different taste. These are my teenaged daughter's favorites.

Everyone enjoyed these beans - the flavor is great and somehting different. Second time I made them I forgot to buy the peaches and used peach preserves - also very good esp. if you don't like the chunky fruit in your beans. The dry rub is excellent and use it on everything (baby back ribs, short ribs, brisket!
