Tasty, but will heed the warnings of others next time and add more cornstarch.....very runny. Love the blueberry/peach combination!

Perfect for a summer treat. I made it with a whole wheat crust - very healthy and delicious.

The dough on this is awesome although it took me about 3 hours to make 2 pies, so a little misleading. I made one pie per this recipe and another pie with just peaches. The dinner group that I served the pies seemed to enjoy the peach one better.

A summer time winner but kick it up with a seasoning of cinnamon & nutmeg. Also, to keep the pie from being runny : dont forget the cornstarch & dont add all the juice of the fruit. I topped off the pie filling with more blueberries to make it full.
Once you brush the pie crust with the egg wash, spinkle a small amount of cinnomon / sugar.
A summer hit....beats a cobbler ...hands down

The filling for this pie was delicious, but definitely runny. I had very juicy peaches, so next time I'll follow the other reviewers suggestions and add more cornstarch...possibly even tapioca, instead. I find that using half butter/half shortening works better in the pie crust, and I added some buttermilk to give the dough some more flavor. All in all it was tasty, just juicier than anticipated.

This was a really good pie. My sister really wanted this for her birthday--her 2 favorite fruits even!. It's the first peach pie I've ever made (had, and boy was it delicious. My peaches were really ripe, really juicy. I now know how James had it in his Giant Peach. Each day must have been like heaven, especially the smell.
The pie crust is not hard to make. In fact, I thought I had it down!...but oh boy how wrong was I. Rolling pie crust has NEVER been my forte, and I'm (somehow slowly realizing that It's not going to be my forte.
So any Pie experts wanna mentor me in the art of pie crusts, please. teach me.
haha. but good flavor--not really sweet- but not over tart. I added a dash of cinnamon and fresh ground nutmeg just for the "Hey what if--" factor. it seemed to work. I also put 3T of corn starch in--my top most fear is runny pies. happens WAY too often. plus my blueberries were frozen.
Thanks y'all for reading my novel- and thank you Tyler for a delish pie. The Lemon Zest was a great addition. !!!
My family still keeps picking at it even as I type this.

I made this pie yesterday and you DEFINITELY need the ice cream. I used fresh fruit instead of frozen and even added a bit more sugar (1/2 cup. It was sour and very tart so you will need the ice cream on top. My husband actually liked the tart/sweet combo, but I didn't. There are too many pie recipes out there, so I won't make this one again.

This was the first covered pie I have ever made (I've only made pumpkin pie once and that is the extent of my experience and I was quite pleased with the results. I used one bag each of frozen peaches and frozen blueberries, adding in some extra cornstarch for thickening as recommended in previous reviews. I even forgot to add the .25 cup of sugar and the butter to the filling and it still turned out quite good. My entire family was quite shocked to learn that I had made it instead of buying it. I'll definitely be making this again.
