The BF loved this but I think it could be better. Lacked that WOW factor. I even put chopped garlic and shallot in with the warmed milk and the flavors still weren't that great. Potatoes were watery from the blanching even though I spun the water out of them with a salad spinner. I would try a different recipe next time.

This was easy to make and it presented like a professionally cooked dish, but there just wasn't muvh flavor. I'll probably try it again, but I will definitely supplement the recipe with something like onions or garlic to give it some real flavor.

A little disappointed. Not much flavor and oddly, it did not make as much as I thought--barely filled up a 1.5 Qt dish half way. Not bad, but not sure if I'll make again.

I did not like this recipe at all; too dry, and I did not like the looks/taste of egg in my gratin. Will not make this again.

This was an easy and elegent side dish. My husband loved it, the kids not as receptive, but it really has a nice flavor and could be made ahead of time.

This is a terrific recipe. I think it's probably the fresh thyme. Feel free to substitute different kinds of potatoes or cheeses, and think about adding onions. I've made this four times or more and thoroughly enjoy it both right out of the oven and reheated (in the oven, not the microwave.

This was fantastic and easy, and a nice deviation from my usual roasted rosemary potatoes. It makes more like 4 servings than 2, though.
