Ellie you've done it again!!! These are the best oven fries ever! My daughter loves cheeseburgers and fries, but we are cutting carbohydrates because I have type 2 diabetes and she is pre-diabetic. Following the guidelines of her nutritionist, she has a range of 35 to 50 carbs per meal. I served the hamburgers with no bread and added a serving of the fries, paired with a salad. She and I both loved them. I cut back the oil because I used less potatoes for two people. Definitely turned them 10 minutes into the cooking and cut my cooking time down to 25 mins. Since we started our new plan, I have made your oven fried chicken strips, also a hit! I am now looking for a turkey meatball recipe and will check your site more often in the future. Thanks so much!

Great recipe, but MAKE SURE the fries are cut the same size or some will burn.

These fries are delicious and the best part is they come out like fries, not just roasted potatoes. I would recommend cooking for 425 instead of 450 and definitely flipping them over halfway through. I also sprinkled mine with some cayenne pepper, so good!

My sweetie and I love deep fried anything but he can't handle the grease anymore and neither of us need the extra fat so I am replacing our favorites with oven fried recipes. These are perfect and he loved them !! His exact words were "Hey!! These are really good!! They taste just like deep fried!!"I didn't use nearly as much oil but did make sure they were well coated and salted and turned them half way through the cooking time to make sure they were crisp. No more frozen for us. This recipe is easy, less expensive and it's a keeper. Thank Ellie!

Very close to the satisfaction factor of deep frying. A good substitute although I will cut back on the oil next time.
