Not bad. Just finished making them and it's good. Not that sweet. I doubled the recipe since I was giving them away as thank you gifts. I used chocolate chips, dried cherries and substituted the raisins for the mac nuts. My kids and husband like them.

My family will not let the holidays go by without making these and now my friends feel the same. I start making the the first of December and don't stop until Christmas!

I like this recipe, but I did change it a bit. The first time I made it, I used dried cranberries instead of cherries. I realized the batter was very thick and chunky, so I changed the nuts, cranberries and white chips to 1/2 cup each. It's a priceless cookie that I often include in my Christmas time cookies.

I believe the recipe has a typo and should be 2 sticks of butter... no doubt that 1 is not correct.
So while I dislike people rating a recipe after they have changed it.. this time it is I who have changed it! and they turned out fabulous with 2 sticks of butter!!

Sooo tasty and delicious! The batter is rich and flavorful. The texture holds up well as it is chewy and moist. Everyone loves them and they are always a hit with family and at work. They are one of my holiday cookie staples. One of my faves! Thanks, Paula!!

I don't know what the previous lady is talking about. Not memorable? Oh my goodness these are delicous. A lady in the office makes and brings them in each year and we eagerly await them. They have become part of our holiday tradition. I'm actually going to break out and try to make them myself this Christmas. I'm a big cookie eater but not a big cookie maker. If you like cookies and white chocolate, cherries and macadamia nuts you will LOVE these.

I made these for Christmas, and everyone enjoyed them but they weren't memorable. They're tasty though, love the cherries so I added about a cup of them. Definitely add some extra butter (the recipe is wrong! Flatten the cookies out a bit before baking to have a nicer looking cookie (like the ones pictured here but don't flatten too much or they bake extra thin and end up being a bit hard to bite into. Happy baking!

These cookies are delicious and chewy! The dough is also a great base for other types of chips and nuts. I make these in advance and freeze them for Christmas. They are awesome! Thanks Paula!!
