    Hello all-

Today I made my first turkey and it was a success! Thanks to this super simple recipe. Followed just as it said...plus I added butter inside of the skin between the meat and skin...it was so moist and delicious. It came out so beautiful and well cooked. My daughter even said it was way better than her friends mom's turkey. YaY!

We all loved how this recipe turned out - tasty and easy. We used coarsely chopped apple, celery, onion, and a bunch of fresh taragon to stuff the cavity.

This recipe is amazing. True to it's name and it came out exactly as it's pictured. I couldn't believe it. I took pictures and posted it to Facebook, I was so excited.

For the aromatics I added sliced apples and oranges, onions and garlic and fresh thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, oregano and sage. For the butter sauce I added fresh squeezed lemon juice, thyme and star anise. I also trussed the turkey to make sure that it cooked evenly.

I was baking other things at the same time so for the initial cooking part (before taking out of the foil packet, I let it bake for another 1.5 hours.

After roasting, it was crispy and brown on the outside and the juiciest I've even know a turkey to be on the inside. Absolutely divine.

Please try this recipe, especially if you're not much of a cook. It's so easy and you'll look like a master chef.

I used this recipe today, and I enjoyed it very much. Instead of using salt and pepper I used Goya Adobo with cumin and some extra pepper. It turned out very moist and juicy. I was very happy.

This is my first attempt at making a turkey. We always purchase a Greenberg, but we wanted to add another to it this year. I stuffed a stick of butter under the skin over each breast. I stuffed the cavity with apples, onions, and carrots. I didn't have a fresh lemon and didn't think to put an orange inside. The turkey is fabulous! It was so easy and browned to such a beautiful color! I will definitely do this again.

hope you read this in time. regarding the stuffing inside of the turkey...most people say NOT to put stuffing actually inside of the bird. it is where a lot of bacteria is and it isn't so sanitary. it also takes longer for the bird to cook if it is stuffed. AND, it dries out the bird. so, i would recommend putting goodies inside of the bird (aromatics that you won't eat. you can even do a bundle of herbs, cut up onions, lemon halves, etc. hope that helps :-

My wife and I have cooked turkeys this way for 6 years. Yes, we've tried deep-fried, grilled, and smoked. But, a turkey cooked in the oven using this recipe always gets rave reviews. The only thing we do differently is to add a stick of butter under the skin, over the breast meat...one stick on each side. Just use your fingers to loosen the skin. It turns out incredibly moist!
