This was so fresh and delicious. I brought the sauce to a boil, and simmered while I made Bobby Flay's pizza dough, and let it cool. I think letting it cool is the key, I did not find this sauce to be too runny at all. So Yummy!

I added a little sugar to my sauce and also put mushrooms on the pizza. i used one can of diced tomatoes and 2 roma tomatoes and had enough sauce for 2 pizzas.

i thought this recipe was great - tasted just like margarita sauce! and my house smelled amazing and it was delicious...it was a little thin, but got thicker with the cooling, and I mashed up the whole tomatoes as it was stewing...it was delicious and I will definately make many more times!

This is a classic recipe that is easy to make and always delicious. I form a rim around my crust to prevent the sauce from running down the sides and into the oven. Making the mozzarella thin seems to help it cook more evenly.
