    fired up a weber grill with some pecan wood and cooked a tri-tip using a slightly different method. cooked on hot direct heat 6 min per side then moved indirect till internal temp was 125 - 40 min. let rest 10 min. perfect.

    Made this recipe for about 15 close friends and everyone (even a "vegetarian" loved it. Paired it with grilled corn on the cob and a green salad. Easy and FANTASTIC!!!

    I love to barbecue, but last weekend was the first time I grilled using a rub. This recipe was a hit. I think what bought it all together was the basting mixture.
