I made this last year for our annual Superbowl party and wanted to do something other than chili. This was a HUGE hit, everyone loved it. This was the one recipe I have made from watching DDD and it came out as good as I was hoping it would. I didn't make any variations from the original recipe and it was just awesome. Would make it again anytime!

I used this recipe to spice up our monthly "Pasta and Sinatra" date night. After over 3 decades it gets a little difficult to find great new pasta recipes. This one definitely hit the mark! I read the reviews below and decided to chop the salami and capicolla in the food processor, then blend it with the browned sausage and other sauce ingredients. It gave the sauce a delightfully rich, meaty texture. We loved it! Thanks for a wonderfully exciting new pasta dish!

I think you must have been having a "thick" day! I have them every other day myself!!! :- The recipe calls for 3 one-inch slices which is what you first thought. Good luck! EJM

I must be very thick today - does the recipe call for three 1-inch thick slices of salami, etc. or does it mean three slices that equal 1-inch thick total?
