Ina! My mom just recently [tonight] made Steakhouse Steak for my family and "her Jeffrey" [aka: my dad!]. My goodness, it was phenominal. It was very tender when it served and the onion rings were perfect with the sauce from the mushrooms. We look forward to making many more of your delicious recipes, Ina :] Thanks so much and keep making amazing food!
    xoxo,

Ida, you bad girl!! That recipe was incredible. WE loved everything!!!! I was scared because my husband is a med. rare lover, and it was perfecto when I brought it out of the oven. It smelled so good and that cracked pepper and salt was wonderful. I had to use sea salt instead of the fleu de salt, but it was still delicious.
Everyone should try this whole recipe!!

I had to improvise a little as I don't have a cast iron skillet. I heated a rimmed cookie sheet in the oven and transferred the steaks from my frying pan to the heated cookie sheet. The result was truly restaurant quality.

I made this recipe the day it aired. I used a ribeye instead of filet. I was able to cook the steak fine but I do have to say that Ina's cooking instructions left the steaks really rare, however, perhaps it was my choice in cut of meat. The Roquefort-chive sauce is amazing. I made this meal with a side of Ina's roasted asparagus and wild rice. The Roquefort sauce was a lovely complement to the rice too. Ina, thanks so much for your lovely recipes.

Wow wow wow! I watched this episode just hours before having family over to celebrate a birthday. I had NO idea what I was going to make, but after seeing this recipe I knew I had to do it. The salt and cracked pepper on the steaks definitely adds a kick, but the sauce mellows it out and is just SOOO delicious! I made this for my husband and my nephew (the birthday boy and they barely spoke, as they gobbled every last bit off their plates. They kept telling me how amazing the dinner was. Serious expensive dinner right at home!

I was so disappointed with the first show that I do not think I will return for more. Someone needs to tell Ina we do not all live in the Hampton's where you have individual cheese, butcher and fish shops. Most of us live in the real world of supermarkets. The cost of the two steaks, the cheese, the wild mushroom assortment for two people was out of this world. If you can afford what the ingredients alone cost you can afford to go out and eat at a 5 * restaurant every night. Anyone can make a decent meal out of prime ingredients. Lets see what you can do with less expensive foods. These are hard times for everyone, okay not Miss Ina maybe, but the rest of us are struggling. Time to put on shoes and get real.

I have been anxiously awaiting Ina's new show and recipes. Boy did she start off the new season with a BANG! The steaks are the best steaks I (and my husband have ever tasted. He usually doens't like steaks, but he LOVED these! It's all about the method of cooking these steaks.I followed Ina's recipe EXACTLY after watching the show. It took about 20 minutes for our steaks to be slightly well done. The sauce tastes so rich and delicious. I am already thinking about who I can invite over to impress with this meal. Thx Ina for making me the cook I never thought I could be!!!
