This was my first attempt at making fried rice and it was awesome! I took others' advice and cut the oyster sauce in half. I used shallots instead of scallions. Really great!!

Delicious. I did not have oyster sauce, so I used hoisin. I decided to add chicken and I marinated it in hoisin sauce for about 6 hours. I also cooked 1 onion with 5 cloves of minced garlic along with the peas and carrots that I added. This is a keeper.

No need to cook the rice the day before. Cooked and went straigh on to the next steps. They oyster sauce can be quite 'fishy'... I would cut back a little, add the soy sauce and then adjust if needed. the sesame oil totally changed the fried rice taste. I love sesame oil in dishes, but did not use it the 2nd time I made this and it taked more like fried rice...Will continue to use this recipe. Quick, easy, and a family hit!!

I just made this for a second time and did not cook the rice the day before. HUGE DIFFERENCE. The rice made the same day (and not refrigerated is mushy. It was much better having cooked the rice the day before. I also added about 1 tbs minced fresh ginger this time and it was a good addition.

My husband is picky about good Fried Rice, and he liked this one! Also our daughter who does not like "egg - that she can see", actually asked for seconds! We may add a little ginger to it the next time it is made!

Mine seemed really wet even after frying it for a while. That gave it a very overpowering fishy taste, so I added about two cups more of rice and it was much better and very close to what I'm used to at the Chinese restaurant. It might have been spot on had I had any ingredients besides rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and egg. I'll try it with all the ingredients next time and see how much that improves it.

Excellent. This is EXACTLY what I want when I'm looking for good fried rice. From what I've been told, this is also pretty authentic. With the right ingredients, it's also pretty simple to put together! I omitted the roast pork and it was just as delicious. Great recipe.

This is a quick and great recipe for using up yesterday's left over white rice. I substituted the pork for crispy bacon and it turned out perfect.
