This pie was easy to prepare and ended up delicious. I used a pre-made pastry crust to save time. My only concern was the amount of bourbon- I love the flavor, but even I thought it overpowered the sweet potato and maple. Next time I will listen to other reviewers!

I have had sweet potato pie before and sometimes they tend to be grainy and bland. This was not, I was excellent. I did roast off my sweet potatoes the day before, way better than just boiling them. I used my food processor to puree them. Which gave them a real silky texture. The maple and bourbon gave perfect flavor without being overwhelming. Absolutely a holiday tradition from here on out. Thanks Foodnetwork =

I made this for Thanksgiving and it received high praise, even from our one truly Southern guest (that praise being: he went back not for seconds but for thirds and took a huge chunk home with him. I couldn't have been happier with it.

This was a fantastic recipe enjoyed by all my coworkers, friends, and family when I made it a couple years ago. The only things I changed were adding chopped walnuts on the top and substituting Southern Comfort for bourbon (since I didn't have any on hand at the time.

This recipe is so good it has beccome a regular at the Thanksgiving and Christmas table for my family. I actually have to bake a pie just to eat when it comes out of the oven for there to be anything left for the dinner!!!

Made this for a big Thanksgiving dinner. I substituted pumpkin for the sweet potatoes and it was delicious. Everyone raved about it and it was great looking, too. I will definetly make this instead of plain ole pumpkin pie from now on

Did not have enough sweet potato flavor, it was more a custard style pie.
