I've made this once as a whole pie (which everyone loved but then had filling leftover so made several little tartlets - and they were incredible! I think the closer filling to pastry ratio does better, and people just seem to really enjoy bite size dessert.

the taste of the sweet potato was overpowered by the bourbon flavor... I would not recommend this recipe. My guests felt the same

This pie is amazing. I left out the Bourbon 'cause I didn't have any, and I substituted 1/4c of the maple syrup with brown sugar 'cause I didn't have enough syrup. And it still knocked my socks off. This is the greatest recipe for left over baked sweet potatoes. I usually bake a few extra but now I always will.

Pretty good. Taste of bourbon was a bit to prominent.

I've never been impressed with sweet potato pies, because they're always so bland and boring. I decided to give this recipe a try because the ingredients appealed to me. It was simply scrumptious, and has changed my opinion about sweet potato pie forever!!

Extremely tasty alternative to pumpkin pie, and far better than the average sweet potato pie. Easy recipe to follow, suggest making with a ginger snap crust to really make it special.

Everyone who got a piece of this pie, begged me to make another one. It does require time and patience, but i found it to be a fun process. This one is worth the little extras... mill your own spices, get organic eggs and use a tasty small batch bourbon. I make everything by hand, no mixers, and i cant wait to do it again!
