One of my favorite go-to recipes. Quick and healthy, but provides the impact you want when serving guests. An explosion of favors!

First let me say that I am NOT a cook at all. But I love to entertain! This is one of those dishes that is unusual, really beautiful to present but best of all...SO EASY!!!
I didn't have time/space for the individual dipping bowls so I threw the fresh pineapple chunks (with some juice in my bowl and then tossed in the other ingredients. So people just picked up the pineapple with toothpicks.
I had the most fun watching people try it out for the first time. its such an unusual taste-sweet/salty/spicy!! But VERY refreshing and not to mention healthy.
Maybe its not "thai" but its definitely a memorable dish that will impress your friends and stand out from the rest.

Amazing. explosion of flavors in the mouth. Be careful with the cayenne pepper; better to sprinkle it than to dip in it.
Everyone was sceptical at first (I brought this meal at a party but almost everyone was greatly surprised by the wonderful taste.

While the recipe was easy to follow and sounded wonderful and new, my Thai friend disagreed with the taste. At first I dipped the pineapple according to the directions but then everything was so overwhelming - especially the cayenne pepper. Then I thought to sprinkle a bit of everything on the pineapple itself and that was just as bad. I think that the pineapple should be marinated in those flavors and then eaten with all the flavors melded together. It was an interesting flavor though. Good luck to whomever tries.

This is an unexpected treat...never would thought to pair these things together. It 's so good and refreshing, and we like spicy so we coated it with the cayenne!
