I made this tonite, but I added one cup ketchup and one cup tomato sauce. I also ended up adding 3 tbsp brown sugar instead of one and about 3 tbsp bbq sauce and 1 to 2 tbsp worchestershire sauce.I think i would add 1/2 the amount of mustard next time to help with the tartness I still taste. I usually am a fan of a food Tyler, but this one took some work and I am sure lost all the healthy side of turkey! Spome times you just have to adapt a recipe to get your own personal tastes! Thanks for all your Ultimates Tyler!

Really just awful- I wouldn't waste my time. There have to be better recipes out there. No flavor other than ketchup.

I made the recipe as Mr. Florence suggested, and I have to say, I am not impressed. There should be substantially less ketchup, because frankly, that's all I tasted. My 4 year old son loved it. Me? Not so much.

Like the other reviewers, I reduced the ketchup. I substituted 1 cup of ketchup for 1 cup of tomato sauce, and reduced it down. The final product was still a mite sweet for me, so next time, I will use still less ketchup, probably 3/4 cup, and a maybe touch more vinegar. Someone mentioned worcestershire ... I like that idea too. All in all, however, this recipe is "ultimate" to me. It is much like the dear ladies in the cafeteria of my grammar school used to make when I was young. It tastes like childhood. I deducted 1 star only because I needed to tweek it a bit.

Terrible. Good if you like ketchup and mustard mixed, because that's all it tastes like. I threw it out and went to Del Taco...seriously.

This came out awesome, I would use a lot less red wine vinegar, add a little at a time and keep tasting it.

Definitely not the ultimate sloppy joe bc the overwhelming flavor of this recipe is ketchup and mustard. You cannot taste the other ingredients. Also, by using ground turkey instead of quality of ground beef that makes things even more bland. Good for a middle of the week supper but not good enough for a Superbowl party!

I used 1 pound of turkey and halved everything else. I'm not a huge of sloppy joes but these I really liked! They did not taste like ketchup but that could be because I halved it. At the end I did add a dash of worcestershire, gave it that depth. I will make these again.
