SO VERY DELICIOUS! My husband, who is some what hard to please with food LOVES this...it is a family favorite and everyone I have ever served it to goes back for seconds and sometimes a THIRD helping. Excellent recipe!

Absolutely fantastic! I read all of the reviews so I decided to dredge the beef in flour before I browned it, this helped give me a thicker sauce at the end. do not skip the brandy or the fresh thyme, these two ingredients made a huge impact. also the sour cream helped as a thickener, this one is a keeper.

This is hands-down the best stroganoff recipe I've ever had. The chuck roast I'd bought was on the fattier side but I think that worked best, as it came out SO tender and flavorful. My one small departure from the recipe had to do with the sauce at the end. I was left with too much fat floating on the top so I skimmed off a significant amount. Then I thickened the remaining liquid with about a tablespoon of cornstarch right before I added the sour cream. It was simply to die for! Try this recipe, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Tyler delivers again. I added about a cup of sour cream, just because that's how I roll. The tang was awesome.

This was delicious! I did add some flour at the end to thicken the sauce a bit.

Authentically delicious! I used shredded venison from a crock pot with beef bouillon cubes instead. It turned out great! I served it with toasted bread instead of noodles as well. I wasn't too sure about the Dijon but it gave it a nice twist. Two thumbs up!

This recipe tasted great! We used a beautiful chuck roast, it was cooked through using the recipe as written, The sauce was a little thin, but the flavor is perfect. My wife and I decided that egg noodles are difficult to get on the fork. I will definitely make this again, will probably use bowtie pasta. 5 star flavor! Perfectly balanced.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! This absolutely tastes like REAL stroganoff. Not cream of mushroom concoctions or hamburger helper varieties. This recipe is not difficult but it does take patience to let the meat tenderize with time. I didn't have cognac so I used dark rum in its place and did not have fresh thyme so I used a teaspoon of dried. I also doubled this recipe and added cornstarch to thicken it. I did not remove the carrot as some had suggested. Thank you Tyler for yet another fabulous recipe!!
