I really think this recipe stinks. I have cooked a ton, but this one lacks flavor and is not worth the trouble at all. I had my doubts while cooking as there just is a general lack of spice/kick or something. I wish I had trusted my gut.

The fava bean sauce is beyond bland, but I had hoped the other ingredients would help. NOPE. The shrimp foam just tastes like fishy shrimp, and I had even reduced the amount for cost reasons I cannot imagine using all the shrimp it calls for.

The fish turned out ok. But do not waste your time with this one. It is awful.

Before the end result, I was ready to come on the site and bash this recipe. After spending close to $75 on the ingredients to make this meal I was not exactly excited. Then, in making the fish, the mustard did not hold as a glue so the potato slices just fell off when set on the plate. BUT,...OH MY GOD!! This was sooo delicious and well worth the money. It's was fine dining in my home at half the cost of 6 of us going out to eat. The layers of flavor were incredible. And the potatoes kept the fish from drying out so it was perfectly cooked. Oh Emeril, you've done it again. Will you marry me?
