I think it was wonderful! Had never heard of one until Paula mentioned it on one of her shows! Don't forget the Pepper! Fresh ground. LOVE YA PAULA!!!

Thanks for the recipe, Paula! Sometimes it's nice to flip through recipes to bust the planning block.

PS. If you are restaurant owners and top shelf chefs why would you need a bleu cheese dressing recipe? Heck, I know how to make the best bleu cheese dressing without even trying... boowah!

It's a simple salad, and maybe it is "classic" to some people, but I hadn't had it until I went to Claim Jumper a couple of years ago. It is very tasty, though I also add some chopped pecans to it. I am glad the recipe is here - I just printed it, put in my binder and have it to remind me I to include it on my menu rotation. Sometimes I forget I can make simple recipes for dinner if I don't put them in front of my face.

Exactly what a wedge salad should be. The nastiness of some of these ratings are really tacky. If you wanted a wedge salad dressing recipe, why not enter that instead of whining? Paula, you rock. Even if I have to tone down some of the butter due to hubby's heart condition.

Im new at the rating thing, but come on guys!!! We are not all resturant owners and 'so called chefs' .
I remember growing up with what ever variance of the 'clasic wedge' salad. I honestly didnt remember how simple and always good it was. Some of us choose or dont realize you can actually buy a whole piece of lettuce, such as iceburg, and not spend a forture for lettuce. (I will say I got caught up in this myself, hence what Im talking about
Thank you, for reminding some of us how easy and simple it is to make a salad.

Unbelievable as it may be some people may have never had this salad.Yes it is a pretty old "recipe",but so what.I actually like a wedge with homemade bleu cheese dressing, you can find plenty of recipes for it online.Regardless how easy or maybe slightly dated this salad is,it is perfection with a good steak.

I work in a restaurant and this is universally referred to as 'rip-off salad' it costs less than $2.00 to make and sells for $7.50. Our chef didn't even want it on the menu as he considers it cheating customers out of money. That said wedge salad tends to work better with ranch. We offer it both ways and ranch is far more popular. Why anyone needs a 'recipe' to cut a wedge off a head of lettuce, drizzle with dressing top with tomato and bacon is beyond me.
