    I was looking for a recipe for hot buttered rum online. Although several sites had recipes, this one sounded the tastiest and it turned out great.

    My husband and I are not big drinkers, I mean only the occasional specialty fruity fru-fru drink. This delicious, buttery, sweet cup of delight has renewed our interest in the term "night cap". On a nice chilly night with fire ablaze a hot buttered rum sets our evening off.

    Everyone asked for the recipe, it was so nice and spicy, like a Chai Tea, but with excellent buttery flavor. I actually made it up a day earlier and put it in the fridge, simply warmed up when I was ready to serve.

    It was very good, however even better if you use a little less rum and add a bit of vanilla ice cream or cool whip.
