Very tasty! Instead of the egg swirls,I used either Israeli couscous or orzo (I just love pasta!. I keep making and enjoying this soup!

I made this soup for the first time last winter and it came out perfect... I made a double batch as it lasted us a couple of days. This is a great soup to have when it is cold and snowy outside. I will be making this soup for years to come.. Thank you Giada for another wonderful recipe.

Extremely tasty and very easy! I made it even easier by using Trader Joe's mini party meatballs instead of making my own. Total prep + cook time = only 10 minutes! I managed to find all the ingredients at Trader Joe's, which made my shopping a whole lot easier.

Couldn't find curly endive, so I bought a bag of pre-washed kale and it worked out great!

I doubled the recipe for a large friends/family gathering. I added some dry bread crumbs (about a cup to the meatball mixture, as it seemed a little too sticky for forming. They turned out so great, I think I will always use this recipe for meatballs! I also made it with half endive and half escarole, which gave it a lot of depth, and added 2 boxes of acini de pepe cooked in chicken broth as well as the additional broth that I boiled it in. The pasta ended up being a bit too much, and I wish now I had only added the one box, as the pasta continued to absorb the broth as the night went on, till there was barely any left! It was extremely delicious, though, and I got props all evening from my friends and family for it! Thank you, Giada!!

    Yum !

You must make this soup! Delicious as is or just as good with some substitutions. Sometimes I substitute the meatballs from low fat ground turkey or a turkey beef mix. It is still always delicious ! I also add a little (1/4 to 1/2 cp orzo or tiny Italian pasta to it to make it more of main dish meal (husband's request. The soup is authentic Italian and simply delicious !

Darn amazing. It was so much more then I expected. It was not difficult to prepare and this recipe introduced me to a new ingredient, endive, which I now love. I prepared this for my family and it received rave reviews. They were still talking about it the next day. I will definitely make this again.

I have made this several times and thought I posted a review. It is absolutely delicious and light. I add a bit of orzo or Israeli coucous which is a nice touch, but not needed. It is good as written. As for Juliej005, maybe you should stay with using your other recipes instead of degrading a great chef like Giada. Thanks again Giada for yet another heavenly recipe!! :

Was very bland. I had to add a lot of seasoning and extra ingredients. I have made this soup before using a different recipe and it tasted much better.

I make this all the time. Super easy, tasty and pretty good for you. (I use 93% lean ground beef for the meatballs...no ground pork. Essentially, I make my own style of meatball, then follow the rest of the recipe. Like the previous reviewer, I typically use spinach instead of endive, and I do add acini de pepe at the end. (Most Italian Wedding Soups I have had have this addition. Pretty much foolproof recipe in that you can doctor it to your liking, but it's still simple and REALLY tasty. I like many of Giada's recipes, and this is no exception.

    Very simple; this recipe works!
One problem that I had was that the broth looked a little cloudy when I cooked the meatballs. Maybe I will try searing the meatballs lightly; so, stuff wouldn't float around so much in the soup =]
