I lost my old fudge recipe I used when my son was young. Now that he is grown and has 2 girls of his own, I looked everywhere for it without any luck. This is very close to it and so, so easy! Thanks Paula for saving the day!! You are the best friend a girl can have!

Was there something left out of Paula Deen's recipe? It sure isn't like grandma made once upon a time. It was more like really thick paste.

I also made this recipe and it turned out horrible. There might be something missing from the recipe but mine came out a gooey mess that I ended up throwing out. However, Paula's "Dummy Fudge" recipe that I found on foodnetwork.com did come out well and is very tasty!

I wish I had read reviews first, this is my third batch and i am waiting for it to set, It is doing better this time, I bought a candy Thermometer, won't depend on the cold water test this time. also I used a bigger pan so the mixture wasn't so deep.I really wanted it to turn out, I like the flavor, We shall see. I've made fudge before, my peanute butter fudge comes out everytime. And Heather from Davenport IA, could you please share that fudge recipe with the rest of us.I don't like using recipes that are fussy. I simply don't have the time

Followed the recipe completely. Ended up with a pan of goo.
We will NEVER watch Paula's show again and will never even consider one of her recipes.

Clearly a recipe that was never tested, and some "celebrity chef" tells us to make it, and we do.

Thanks for ruining Christmas fudge, Paula. Enjoy your money.

I followed the directions to the letter and it is 4 hrs later and the fudge is still not hard I am very very disappointed. Are you sure it should be evaporated milk and not condensed?

I don't know what I did wrong! :( I followed the recipe to a tee and it turned out horrible. It was grainy and so thick I couldn't even get it out of the pan. I read the reviews and even took those suggestions but it still didn't come out right. I'm not blaming the recipe at all, I'm sure that its wonderful. Apparently I still have a lot to learn about the art of making fudge.

I am surprised by Paula's recipe. I have never had any of her recipes go bad but this one is HORRIBLE. It never set resulting in a gooey mess! It was a total waste of ingredients. After reading the reviews I gather one is to NOT stir. Why didn't Paula tell us? The only thing I can do with this mess is microwave it and use it as a cocoa topping over ice crem. Either that or throw it away. Ugh!
