I had never made a Standing Rib Roast before. I made this for Easter Dinner. It was so easy and so delicious. WOW !!! My parents, husband and children, even grandchildren all asked for more. I will do this again. The herbs and garlic were the bomb.......

The only recipe I've ever used or will ever use for standing rib roasts. It's easy to follow and adjust the cooking time for smaller or ever larger roast! I don't cook or eat a lot of beef, but I find myself wanting to make this for special occasions.

This is a great recipe and so easy to make. It's good for a special occasion and will garner rave reviews from guests and family. You'll probably chew on the bone. I didn't have fresh herbs so reduced the amounts to about 1/3 of that noted on the recipe and it was still marvelousl Next time, I'll use fresh thyme and rosemary and expect it will be even better, if possible. My husband agrees, we'll make this again.

My first attempt at a Standing Rib Roast - I was a bit scared, but this recipe is fool proof. Made it for my Mother's 74 birthday. She raved about it and so did my "can't eat anything without cheese on it" husband. Tender, seasoned to perfection and I followed the recipe right down to the 22 minutes for medium and it was perfect! Served it with green peas and onions and scalloped potatos, great combo. This recipe will make any meal a Great Meal. Thanks Emeril!

Thiis was delicious! The roasted Garlic topping was the best. Fixed a 9 lb rib roast to serve 8 people Christmas. It would have been nice if you added the recipe for the roasted garlic but I found it elewhere. This is a Keeper!

Made my 1st ever rib roast following this recipe and it was outstanding. Cooked perfect and very tender. Mine was closer to 8 # so adjusted times a little. Served with Cheesy potatoes, garlic bread, fresh green salad and cold beer. Desert was pumpkin roll with vannila Ice cream. Yummy...

My first attempt at any type of roast. I just fed a 71/2 lb rib roast to nine very happy people. No left-overs. It was tasty and juicy. The instructions were straightforward. I didn't have a roasting pan so I placed carrots underneath the roast. It cooked evenly throughout. Kudos Emeril!

We just made this for Christmas dinner. The last standing rib roast recipe we made was a real disappointment. This was perfect!
