I'm not crazy about the lime, but it is a good drink. HOWEVER, Barritt's Ginger Beer from Bermuda (you can get it locally known as Regatta works best with the hard to find Gosling Dark Rum. But, most important, the ginger beer goes into the glass right after the ice. The rum is added last...slowly. This will allow it to swirl around darkly. Hence the name; if you don't do it that way, you will have no clue where the name came from.

This is the perfect recipe for what has come to be my favorite drink, Since I'm from Chicago, I use 312 Ginger Beer. Additionally I add .75 oz of Ginger Liquer to add some additional "ginger spice" to the cocktail (I stole this idea from the Dark and Stormy at the W Hotel on Lex in NYC.

This is soooo good. It would be very easy to overdo it. I will absolutely add this to my favorite drink list.

This drink is very refreshing! I use 2TBS 151 Rum, 2 TBS sweetened lime juice, fill the glass with ice, and then top off with the ginger beer.
