Wow are these delicious!! I thought I would only want them baked, but the fried pie tastes like a peach-filled spanish Churro, mmmm... I made 2.5 inch pies with my dumpling cutter and presser, then piped a whipped cream flower on them, as I didn´t have any ice cream. My crust came together perfectly, with 4 tbsps. water (minimum amount.
The baked ones were good too, and tasted like a normal pie would; I baked them about 20 minutes or so at 350 degrees.

I am baking the pies. I have already baked them 25 minutes. They are finally getting done. I don't know how the one person baked them 8 to 10 minutes. The dough was still raw. Maybe I should have had the oven at a higher temp. It is at 350. I already had the peach filling made and was looking for a fried pie recipe. Baking just sounded better. Hope they are tasty! Finally got done and they are good!!
I made a peach pie last week. The crust was also Emeril's recipe. The review said the crust " didn't quite come together." It was crumbly, so I pressed it in the pie pan and crumbled the rest on top. It was very good as well!

These were the best fried pies I've found. I've both fried them and baked them and they are delicious. A great way to use those farmer's market peaches.

These pies do have a lot of prep time. Usually, I do all the prep the day before I want them and then just put everything together day-of. I also bake at 350 for about 5-10 minutes instead of fry. They come out amazing-- very flaky and delicious. The peach filling is outstanding. Definitely not a 'quick' dessert, but impressive and tasty when it's done.

you should never discard fresh peach syrup! I save it in the refrigerator for up to a week and use it to sweeten iced tea, drizzle over ice cream or as a base for frozen peach margaritas.

I made these last night and doubled the pastry recipe. I used frozen peaches. These are the best fried pies I've ever made. My husband and children loved them just by themselves or with ice cream. Easy to make and a keeper!

Made these over the weekend, im sorry but it felt like the prep should have made it worth while, secondly peaches never softened it took longer than 25min, mayby canned peaches instead of frozen might have worked better! I don't know but funny enough my boys (husband and two kids loved it

I couldn't get enough of these. I didn't fry them but baked them in the oven as Emeril did on the show. They are so good.
As usual Emeril has given us a great recipe. Thanks so very much.

My husband made these for a get together and although the thought of fried pies didn't excite me, they were amazing. The filling was delicious and the crust was flaky.
