I'm not on a low carb diet....could have just sliced open the Italian bread with this dish but I didn't need it...I really enjoyed making sausage and peppers this way. The only thing different I did was that I added fresh thyme to the veggies when they were frying up. A keeper.

A good hearty dish with lots of flavor. Be sure to follow his suggestion to have everything ready when you start to cook.

I made this recipe last night. It was a terrific one dish meal. All you really need is a low carb desert and/or a salad and you'll be happy as a clam. I used fresh chicken sausage...couldn't find turkey sausage....and doubled the garlic and oregano. The sausage can be a little bland but the vegetables and spices enhanced it perfectly. Definitely a keeper recipe.

It looked delicious on tv and tasted even better when I made it at home.

What a delicious meal! It makes a large quantity so we actually got dinner and a few lunches from it. It will be a favorite in our house from now on.

This recipe sounded so good when I watched it on the show. The only problem I had with it was I don't like turkey. So I used hot Italian sausages, which had 1 carb per serving. It is delicous! I also used 14 oz. of my own canned tomatoes. Outstanding flavor and just another way to make this life style change so easy.
