Loved it, a thirty minute delight! You can also just let the broth go and when you are ten minutes from eating-- toss in the dumpings and noodles. Good both ways.

This was a tasty, easy soup for cold autumn and winter nights. My family & friends loved it. I'll definately make this again!

This is a great soup. I didn't add the gremolata, bay leaf, and cheese (in the meatballs but this soup was still very good. I also used ground beef instead of veal. It took longer than thirty minutes, but I would definetly make it again. Great recipe!

I just could not believe how good this tasted....and the next few days it is even better. The Veal Dumplings are wonderful but the whole thing is GREAT!
    Thanks Rachael!!!!

very easy to prepare and the flavor was wonderful. LEft out the anchovies from the gremolata. But it was wonderful flavor anyway. The "stoup" was more like a light veggie soup rather than a stew. I even added 2 T cornstarch to try to thicken a bit. Not sure what the problem was with the thin-ness of the soup. Maybe next time I will leave out a cup or so of the broth or add more pureed tomatoes. Otherwise wonderful dinner, the veal dumplings were so tender and the nutmeg added a special flavor. a make again!

Made this recipe with yellow summer squash instead of celery. Wasn't even exact on stock quantities. It came out great! Stores great in the fridge for a couple of days as well. TRY IT!!

My husband and I both love anchovies and we thought this was a great comfort food. For those who do not like anchovies might want to forgo the gremolata.
