I used ground turkey. I think I would add garlic to the meatballs next time. I felt like something was missing. I didn't have cabbage so I used romaine lettuce. It actually was great.

for sharing this recipe! I make this over and over again. So easy to make. I use ground turkey instead of pork (not much of a pork fan and use regular cabbage most of the time. My kids love it too. Works well served with rice.

do the napa at the end to make more crunchy we used the broth like a soup super warm and tasty on a cold day.

This is a great recipe. I have 2 picky eaters, aged 2 and 4 and they both love it. As a working mom, this recipe is super easy to follow. Tastes great and is a balanced meal all in one. Thank you Ming Na!

Ming-na put more ingredients into her meat balls. She mixed an Egg to the meat, pretty much a vital ingredient to hold the meat balls together. She also used Mushroom Soy in addition to the Light Soy. The mushroom soy is what gives these big meatballs their nice dark color.
The Soy isn't a big deal but the egg sure is!

This was a wonderful tasting dish. It was so easy but tasted like you spent a long time in the kitchen preparing it.

I used this recipe along with another Lion's Head recipe. I added the egg, 2 slices of chopped ginger, and 2 scallion stems to the meat mixture and followed the directions for this recipe. It was awsome.
