    This apple pie was good. I wasn't too sure about pre cooking the apples but it worked great. The crust recipe is the best I've ever made. I make a lot of pies and always struggle with the crust. This one was so good my husband asked me to make it for him for pastries. Sara Ione,California

    This was my first try at a fresh baked apple pie,it was a complete sucsess,and so simple to prepare.I was able to impress my boyfriends family with this recipe.They already requested one for Christmas.{we don"t care for raisins so I left them out}

    This is a fantastic apple pie recipe! It is very easy to follow, easy to make and doesn't take up too much time. A great pie to make as a holiday gift!

    very delicious. not too sweet. followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect. egg wash on top crust was a very nice touch.

    This filling recipe was great (used my own crust recipe with one exception. Next time, after adding the cornstarch mixture I will cook long enough to thicken the sauce. I only just brought it to a boil this time so the finished pie was still a little runny. The flavor was excellent and the apples were perfectly cooked but my kids would have preferred a pie that stayed together.
