This recipe is fantastic. I am a banana bread fanatic and this is exceeded all expectations. I recently made a banana loaf with this exact recipe and it was phenomenal. My whole family raved about it for days. I did not use the icing because I am not allowed to have milk, so I generously sprinkled powdered sugar on top of the still warm loaf. It was great. Definitely try this if you are looking for a foolproof banana bread recipe. Thank you Giada!

These are the best banana muffins I've ever made. What an incredibly easy recipe. The cinnamon and nutmeg really make a difference. I added chocolate chips and skipped the frosting.

WOW!!!! Simply the best banana muffins I have ever made or tasted! This recipe is correct with all its measurements. Re: baking time - I just kept watching them and testing with toothpick. I didn't want them too brown on top.

The icing is different and buttery! However, you can eat these plain it they will still rock (or add your own icing..

This is my go-to recipe now for banana muffins, always and forever.

Changed the frosting. Added 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and cut the butter to 5 tablespoons.
    Completed the muffin!

Made the muffins exactly as written, but skipped the frosting. Wasn't needed and from the reveiws it looks like it didn't work out for most who tried it. This is a basic, delicious banana muffin that is perfect with coffee or tea. It came out great, was easy to make (didn't have to lug out my mixer and if you use cupcake liners, clean up is a breeze. Also, I calculated the calories and they are 273/per muffin (I got 20 from the recipe.

this was my first time making banana cupcakes/muffins and it was delicious! the cupcake was very soft and moist. i didn't use the mascarpone frosting due to reviews that said it was a fail although next time i'll give it a try. So, i just used a regular cream cheese frosting and it went amazing with the cupcakes! also, im probably gonna make the cinnamon just 1/4 tsp cause i don't want it to overwhelm the bananas. Lastly, there's a typo on the ingredients because it called for 1 tbsp of vanilla while on the video she only used 1 TSP of it. overall, definitely keeping and will make this recipe again!

I made this as a frosting for my mother's birthday cake (lemon with raspberry curd filling. The frosting was quite bad. The texture was great, but the taste was, quite frankly, gross. I give this recipe two stars only because the error was quite likely mine. Perhaps I shouldn't have used wildflower honey, or maybe this frosting would pair well with the muffins in this recipe.
