Very simple, quick to make and surprisingly good (I'm not a huge green bean fan. I did reduce the butter by 2 T (on the advice of other posters and it was great. This will go into high rotation at my house.

My husband doesn't like green beans and he went back for seconds of this dish. I used canned green beans and slivered almonds. My only confusion is with the brown butter. I'm sure this is just because of my inexperience, but my butter never seemed to get brown. I don't know what I should have done to make it turn brown, but I guess I don't really care because it tasted so good anyway.

I really like to dress up my vegetables and this green bean dish is great. I've got a very similar recipe (and video up on the site (NoRecipeRequired that drops the brown butter, but adds some parmesan cheese...which is also a great combo.

We all enjoyed this dish. I used fresh bean since they are in season right now, but otherwise followed the directions exactly. The flavor was very good and the pine nuts added to the already nutty flavor of the browned butter.

My husband and I loved this simple green bean recipe. The brown butter really adds so much flavor to the green beans. I didn't have pine nuts, but I used chopped walnuts which tasted great, too. The nuts add a nice crunch to the dish. I think any type of nut would work perfectly. Definitely making this time and time again.

Ok, I didn't have Pine Nuts but I had some silvered Almonds which I toasted in the butter while browning it. And I had only fresh green beans and not frozen.
I would only use half the amount of butter called out. One whole stick is way too much butter and it was all pooling at the bottom of my server tray. And since my family is not big garlic eaters, I only used 1/4 teaspoon. But the taste was fantastic.
I know a lot feel like you should not rate a recipe unless you make it exactly as written, But the comments I have read on most recipes has helped me advert disasters. It is really too bad the food netwok website does not review and edit all recipes before putting them here. I never make a recipee now without reading all the reviews. So for this one, but the butter in half. And add garlic as you like it. But browning the butter is a MUST. YUMMY.
