This is a wonderful dish, full of flavor, and so easy to put together. I could eat this at least once a week, but alas, I can only prepare it once a month. Have prepared this several times and it's always a winner with everyone!

Ran accross this recipe earlier this year and it is now an old standby at our house. I make it with the broccoli, chicken-tomato-basil sausage, and angel hair pasta. It doesn't sit as heavy as tomato sauce spaghetti and since it doesn't take a lot of kitchen time, it worked great as a meal all summer. I don't have any problems getting any of my boys (38, 14, 7 to eat this or any leftovers!

My daughter had to make a meal as "homework" for her culinary class in high school. We were absolutly stunned when we tried this dish. The recipe is now in the make again file for our family. We cut out the cauliflower and made it with regular sausage. Thanks Emeril for a wonderful meal idea that we will enjoy for years to come!

My brother in Montreal had to email my sister and me when he saw this recipe.
My grandmother grew up in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
    Her mother was from Palermo.
My family has been preparing and eating Erky Lerky for over four generations.

The dish you have created might be tasty but, I AIN"T Erky Lerky!
By the way, my father and grandfather were both firemen.

The true dish was made popular during the depression because it was a cheap way to feed your family. It was a lot simpler than this dish and was based
on a very old Italian Pasta dish which was basically garlic, olive oil, pasta
    and cheese.

The Erky Lerky most citizens of New Orleans grew up eating consisted of
Spaghetti, garlic sweated in olive oil, parmsean cheese, minced broccoli and black olives. Cheap, Quick, Tasty and Simple!!!

Sorry Daddy and Granda! Rest in Peace! Love you!

This recipe is a sure thing with anyone who loves pasta, or Italian sausage, or both. There are so many flavors involved, and you can tweek the recipe with little variations that make it your own. Its easy to make and delicious.

The meal was a "make again" on my list. The verity of flavors complemented each other in the dish and the entire family enjoyed the dish. It was quick and easy with few dishes to clean up!

We loved this recipe! It was a big hit in my house. They loved it more because there was no pasta sauce!
    Thanks for the recipe!

I've made this recipe 3 times already. I think it's simple to make and sooo good!! Husband and brother-in-law loved it. They have asked me to make this at least once a week, since the first time I made it. Excellent dish!!
