I have to admit, I was REALLY unsure how these would turn out. To my surprise, these split pea burgers were delicious! Much better than most other veggie burgers I have attempted. Goes great with seasoned and baked sweet potato fries. Mr. Brown knows his stuff.

Delicious!!! I really enjoyed this, as well as my husband who I didnt think would be keen to the split peas. I will be making this again for sure. I didnt have bell peppers and I didnt use the bread crumbs. I served it like a stew instead of a burger and it was full of flavor.

I am vegan, so it is hard to find a good, delicious burger substitute. I tried out this recipe because it sounded good and was easy to make. I love this, one of my favorites. Kudos Alton Brown. I love your show.

Excellent !!!! I am unable to eat many things. Beef and bread are two of them. I made these burgers, added a little grated cheese on top and wrapped them in lettuce. Oh my gosh. I could not believe how tasty they were. I gave some to my friend and thier family enjoyed them as well. THANK YOU !!!!!!

Good burger substitute! The flavor isn't as pronounced as a beef patty, unless maybe you grill it. Not bad at all. Goes great with 'fixins!

This was my first time making a vegi burger and it turned out very good. I made it for a bbq with my neighbors (one of which is vegetarian but everyone really enjoyed it! I added some chili powder to the recipe and an extra 1/2 cup of bread crumbs to give it a nice texture. I also used grated carrots instead of the mushrooms and added 1 Tbsp of wheat germ. I am a big fan of split pea soup and this was just like split pea soup but in burger form. Which was a really good thing. We put them on onion buns with spicy mustard and it turned out fantastic.

I have made this for years and my dad will even eat it. We make it into burritos and pour enchilada sauce over it. They work great in the crock pot and then fill burrito shells to freeze for later. One of my absolute favorites and vegetarian too!
