I made this with boneless pork and substituted the apple cider with natural apple juice after reading one of the other reviews. It was delicious.

I read comments that stated that this was not very good, but saw quite a few stating just the opposite. Sad to say, this is a recipe not worth making again. It is nothing special, and not worth making. It is not even an average chicken dsh. I will stick with recipes from seasoned and tried chefs like Tyler and Paula.

I used 6 chicken breasts and then cut them in cube size pieces once they were seared and removed from the pan. I also made a pot of white rice which went well with the apple cider gravy.

I only spent $17.00 and that is because the apple cider was $4.99!!! I wasn't sure if apple juice would work but I think that I will try natural apple juice and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for an extra twang and to save a few dollars.

This meal was great...I also cooked the brussels sprouts from this episode too which were FABULOUS!!! We had dinner for four and we have left overs for tomorrow...gotta love that!!!

I cut the chicken breasts in half b/c they were so thick. That meant adding more applies and onions. It turned out pretty good. My husband was happy with it.

My family loved this when I made it. I mistakenly took out split chicken breasts which I used anyway. I had to cook the chicken a little longer. Where it said to remove the chicken from the pan I just tossed them in the oven for abit and then they were ready to go back in when the recipe called for it. Next time I am going to try the boneless though as it seems even easier!!!

My kids even liked it, and they don't like anything. I think it would be good to serve with some stuffing because the gravy with the apples tasted very "holiday" and would go well with it. I was impressed.

This recipe is different from one my family ever had. We enjoyed it. Quick and easy to do during the week.

After watching this episode, I decided to make the entire meal for our family and guests. Everthing came out great, and in fact, I couldn't find actual apple cider, so I substitued the fresh apple juice that you can buy in the refrigerator section and added a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. It had a nice "zing" from the vinegar which went well with the semi-sweetness of the Granny Smiith apples and vidalia onions. I also used fresh thyme rather than dried, as I believe that's how Sunny made it on the show. The entire meal was excellent and although I loved the compliments, I give the credit to Sunny!
