    This was the first real desert I made, and it was such a big hit at our family's Christmas dinner. I absolutely love this recipe and the interesting uniqueness of the cardamom. To top the desert, I offered whipping cream or Bird's custard. This is definately going to be a recipe that I will make for years to come!

    Once I mixed up the crumble portion of it I hesitated to add all of it to the top of the apples. However, I did...big mistake! The flavor was okay, but the overwhelming crust kind of ruined it. I would suggest less crust.

    at first i was just hurrying to make it and get it in the oven (I was also making dinner @ the time i only ended up doing 3 or 4 apples. I was shocked at how much topping there was left! I made a second batch with the rest and used 2apples and one pear! they were delicious!!!!

    This recipe is the best Apple Crisp recipe I have ever tried. The lemon really adds a unique flavor, and the apples come out extremely fluffy & tender!
